Blankets are classified from Class 0 (1000V) through Class 4 (36,000V). Each class is tested to withstand its rated voltage plus a safety factor. Color coding indicates voltage rating for quick identification.
Inspect blankets before each use for cuts, tears, or contamination. Store flat or rolled in cool, dry locations away from sunlight and ozone. Test blankets electrically according to ASTM standards at required intervals.
