They enable use of 3/8" drive sockets with 1/2" drive ratchets and vice versa, maximizing tool utility without compromising VDE 1000V electrical safety protection during live electrical work.
When the ideal drive size for access differs from the socket size needed, VDE insulated adapters provide the connection while maintaining complete 1000V electrical protection throughout the tool system.
Z-type adapters (also called offset or angle adapters) allow socket tools to access fasteners at angles in confined spaces. The offset design routes the drive around obstructions while maintaining VDE 1000V electrical insulation.
The offset or angled configuration allows reaching fasteners behind obstacles, around corners, or in recessed locations where straight tool paths are blocked, all while maintaining electrical safety in equipment up to 1000V.
Complex electrical equipment with obstructed fastener access, motor terminal boxes with limited clearance, switchgear with deep recesses, and any electrical assembly with challenging tool access benefit from VDE insulated Z-type adapters.
