- Clean the scrapper after use.
ABUSE/MISUSE
- Do not use scrappers as chisels.
- Don’t use a scrapper with a split or broken handle.
- Do not hammer a scrapper or use a scrapper as a hammer.
- Scrappers should not be used as a wedge or leverage.
Clean, properly prepared surfaces ensure coating adhesion, gasket sealing, and material bonding. Non-sparking scrapers remove rust, old coatings, scale, and contaminants before protective treatments or repairs.
Tank maintenance, vessel refurbishment, pipe surface preparation before welding, and equipment cleaning in refineries, chemical plants, and marine facilities require non-sparking scrapers for safe surface preparation work.
